How do I start working with Desert Bloom Counseling?

Please send an email to info@desertbloomcounseling.com to schedule a free 15 minute consultation. During the consultation, we will explore your reasoning coming to therapy and our approach to therapy. If it is determined we are a good fit, we will move forward with completing paperwork and getting you scheduled.

Do you offer in-person therapy services?

Yes, Desert Bloom Counseling does offer in-person therapy sessions.

How does teletherapy work?

Desert Bloom Counseling offers teletherapy through a secure and HIPAA compliant platform. You will be emailed a link to join the session.

What is the cancellation policy?

Desert Bloom Counseling requires a 24-hour cancellation notice to avoid being charged any no-show fees.

What insurance plans do you accept?

Desert Bloom Counseling currently accepts Optum, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthCare, UMR, Medicare, Behavioral Healthcare Options (Sierra Health and Life), Victim of Crime and SAVA (formerly known as Victim Witness).

What are your private pay options?

For those who do not want to use their insurance to pay for mental health counseling, below are the current rates for therapy.

  • Individual Therapy: $150.00 / 60 minutes

  • Child Therapy: $150.00 / 60 minutes

  • Family Therapy: $150.00 / 60 minutes

  • Couple's Therapy: $150.00 / 60 minutes

If you do not have insurance and/or cannot afford the current rates for therapy and are interested in therapeutic services with Desert Bloom Counseling, you may qualify for Desert Bloom Counseling's sliding-scale program. Please contact us for more information.

How do I pay for sessions?

Desert Bloom Counseling requires full payment at the time of service. Insurance co-pays are due at the time the service is rendered as required by your insurance company contract. Acceptable forms of payment are: exact-amount cash and credit/debit card.
